On 11 December 2025, conductor and artistic researcher at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Mihhail Gerts, introduced graduating students at Tartu Tamme Upper Secondary School to the music of Eduard Tubin, the focus of his research. He also presented the animated film Tubin's Palette, created as the outcome of an artistic research project carried out earlier this year.

The film aims to visualise the formal and dramatic development of the first movement of Eduard Tubin's First Symphony.

The animation was created by Martinus Klemet, a doctoral candidate at the Estonian Academy of Arts, who was a member of Gerts's research group alongside Professor Kerri Kotta.

Following the presentation, students were invited to complete a questionnaire, which yielded highly positive results. Of the more than 100 respondents, 97.2% said that the animation helped them follow the development of the musical material, while 76.2% reported that they would not have listened to the work as attentively without the animation.
